Our Story
I Can Preschool and Child Care was founded by the current Owner and Program Director Atlantis Cabaong. Having three daughters and a son of her own ignited her vision to create an accessible high-quality early care and education program that would serve a diverse community.
Over the years, we have inspired our students and families to welcome an early learning environment that promotes inclusion, equity, diversity, and accessibility. With the continuous support of families, and early care and education organizations, our early learning environment is always evolving. We have excelled in providing a nurturing early childhood education program that thrives on family engagement and the interest of children.
Our Mission
We believe that developmentally appropriate; goal oriented, and exceptional early care and education should be greatly accessible to all children. Regardless of the family’s socio-economic status or the child’s developmental background.
Our mission is to create inclusive and diverse classrooms that provide equitable educational opportunities, and high-quality teacher student interactions. Through our efforts we will inspire our students to help others, exercise compassion, and practice unconditional acceptance of differences. We hope our values will greatly benefit the future success of the children in our program.
Our Educational Philosophies
The classroom environments at I Can Preschool and Child Care utilize research-based curriculum, educator guided experiences, and interest-based materials that are developmentally appropriate. The importance of learning through play is recognized and promoted through classroom designs that foster social emotional development and conflict resolution skills.
School readiness and relationship building are the foundation of our educational structure. Our early childhood education experiences are designed to teach children healthy interactions with peers and adults, empathy, respect, emotional regulation, and social acceptance.
